Jonathan Barr grew up in the Detroit suburbs, where his love for music was fed by the melting pot of influences available in the area known as Motown and Detroit Rock City. Classically trained on piano and violin, Jon soon branched out and found his groove singing over his acoustic guitar play. Jon is truly one of those rare talents that can hear a piece of music once and perfectly replicate it. He also steps it up a notch by adding his own style and unique artistic flare to each fan favorite.

Jon moved to Florida in 2008 to chase his dream of living where others vacation. His musical talent was quickly noticed and he started playing with a local Naples band called Overthrowing Amy (OTA). It was with OTA that Jon gained the moniker Jonny Turbo, most likely referring to the speed in which he makes it into fans hearts. After much success and fan fair the band split up and now Jon plays solo at a local rotation of bars, restaurants and breweries. He can also be found entertaining at weddings, open houses, and private parties.
